The longest bridges of the world mostly belong to China, although other countries like Thailand, US, all have made it to the list of top 10 bridges. The list is however curated irrespective of the style, meaning, some of them are above the water, while rest is above the road.

Stretching over 102.4 miles, the bridge is the longest one in the world. This is a viaduct kind of bridge that means either it crosses water lands and valleys or it acts as an overpass. In this case, this bridge goes over the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. Opened in 2011 for public, this is the same year, the bridge got its title of the longest one in the entire world according to the Guinness Book of World Record. It is in the Jiangsu province, situated on the rail line that connects Nanjing and Shanghai.

With a length of 49.543 miles, the bridge was opened in 2010 in the month of February for public using, although it got completed two years ago. It covers many railways, highways, and rivers, like Wei River. It is connected to Zhengzhou–Xi’an High-Speed Railway (Zhengxi Passenger Transport Special Line) that joins Xi’an and Zhengzhou together.  Although, after its construction was completed it was known to be the longest bridge, later on, it came down to the fifth position.

The 30.1 mile long bridge goes across the Bay of Kuwait. Named after the late ruler Sheikh Jaber Al-sabah, this beam bridge has been open since May of 2019. The motif of installing the bridge is to reduce the timing of traveling from Silk City to Kuwait city. Earlier it was an approximate 1.5-hour journey, but now it takes less than half an hour. The bridge is manufactured by Hyundai Engineering & Construction, spending around US$ 3.6 billion.

This bridge is also the part of the country’s Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway. This viaduct bridge is as long as 29.92 miles. Although the construction ended in 2010, it was not open for public until 2011. The longest span of the bridge is 44 meters.

The elevated metro line service was operational from 2004 with two 2 tracks. The length of the entire line is 23.61 miles. The stations that it includes are Taipingyang, Lijibeilu, Xunlimen, Qiaokoulu, Wuhuandadao, Zhuyehai and so on.
